The Dodger stadium, is the third-oldest ballparks in Major League baseball. It is “committed to providing a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for all their fans.” Don’t be misled by its age. Just like the Mayfair Hotel is going through renovations, The Dodger Stadium has gone through the process of modernization.

The Mayfair Hotel is at an approximate distance of 3.5 miles to the Dodger Stadium. Although it would seem like you can walk there, we don’t recommend it unless you are an athlete. The Dodger stadium is inconveniently located within Elysian Park on a hill. Although a perfect place for a hike, we don’t recommend you walk from the hotel to the top of the hill to see the game. Don’t be discouraged, there are a few ways to make it from the hotel and up the hill.

Be sure to experience a game if you are in town during baseball season or checkout the other events during the off season like Monster Jam. Several game nights include free giveaways and souvenirs like bobble heads, beach towels, backpacks and more. Make sure you check out their rewards program if you are interested in becoming a recurring guest to their games.

Best Driving Options:

The best driving route would be taking 7th street towards Figueroa. Turn left onto Figueroa for about a mile. On Sunset turn left until you get to Elysian Park Ave and then turn right. Continue until you get to the Gate, it will be on your right.

Best Bus Options:

*$1.75 each bus (one way) or purchase the day pass for $7 for an entire day

*Take either: 51/52/352 (Compton) on 7th and Witmer. Get off on Broadway and 7th. Walk to Broadway stop to take bus # 4 (Santa Monica). Get off on Sunset / Elysian Park - Dodger Stadium and walk about 6 minutes up to Dodger stadium.

You can also make your way to Union station and catch The Dodger Stadium Express Shuttle. It is free with your ticket to the game. Union Station Service has two stops - behind the pavilions (Lot G) and at the Top Deck (Lot P). Ask our concierge for directions via bus/ metro. We can also help you call a taxi. If you decide to Uber, just let us know so we have the driver wait out front for you.

*Taxi or Uber fees vary with traffic, usually around $12-15

Parking at the Stadium:

The parking prices vary. It is best to purchase your parking ticket online if you are driving to the stadium. Take a look at the options below:

*Save money and buy Lot 13 & 14 (offsite parking) for just $5. Please note it is a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium.

*General admission parking is $10 online and $20 at the gate.

*Preferred parking is $35 online and $50 at the gate.

If you decide to take your Bike, there are multiple Bike Racks at your convenience to lock them up while you enjoy the game.

4) Hike it – this is one is for the adventurous traveler. You will have to use your car to get to the north-end of N Beachwood Drive and the hike will take about 30 – 45 minutes. The classic story of Alice in Wonderland takes the stage at the Walt Disney Concert Hall!

The Los Angeles Philharmonic is offering guests a production of Alice and Wonderland like you’ve never seen before. In this multimedia production, listen to the orchestra perform music that tells the story of Alice while other elements are combined. There will be live action, eye-popping costumes, imaginative choreography, and even interactive animated projections that all combine for a brilliant retelling of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale of imagination and whimsy. For two nights only, you’ll be given the opportunity to see this incredible performance. Watch it on Friday, February 27th or Saturday, February 28th. Both performances will be at 8pm. Tickets start at $20. If you’re staying in the hotels near the Walt Disney Concert Hall, you can purchase them online at the official LA Philharmonic website, at the box office, or by calling 323.850.2000.

This latest production of Alice in Wonderland is brought to you from the ingenious mind of Netia Jones. Jones has become known for creative multimedia productions as well as her directing, designing, and video art collections. The Observer event described her as “the most imaginative director of opera working in Britain today.” She works in the UK, Europe, and the US and is the director of a mixed media creative studio called Lightmap. The composer of this latest version of Alice in Wonderland is the talented Unsuk Chin. She was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea where she learned the basics of piano and music theory from her father. Almost exclusively self-taught, Chin is a great example of someone with pure talent. She relocated to Berlin, where she then worked at the electronic music studio at the Technical University of Berlin. Her compositions are known for their playfulness and virtuosity while brilliantly meshing together non-European influences with modern techniques. Don’t miss out on your chance to see these incredibly talented artists showcase their work. Buy your tickets for Alice in Wonderland today!
